Weekend Recap and a Crush List

Still recovering from a wonderful weekend filled with food, appointments and catching up on sleep to try and kick the sickness that I'm worried will never leave... 

On Saturday my lovely aunt treated me to a pedicure at my favorite spot Juko and while Bridgette Jones' Diary played in the background and AJ (the boy who gives the most amazing foot massages in the world) rubbed my feet, we caught up on each other's lives. Just chatting with her is one of my most favorite things to do and getting to do so while having my feet rubbed was the ultimate guilty pleasure.

Monday Crush List xo

On Friday we left work in the midst of a heavily falling snow. It was the perfect way to start a weekend that was mostly spent holed up in the apartment catching up on Downton Abbey (my newest obsession), trying out my new food processor (must-try hummus recipe below) and starting to dig out warm weather clothes from their hiding places. Brazil is only about two weeks away and at this point it still feels like a dream.

Crush Collection

Oh this past weekend was lovely.

On Friday I was surrounded by many of my nearest and dearest to celebrate my birthday… Pictures to come later, but I felt very loved and it was a wonderful way to kick off another year.

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and catching up with friends (brunch, wine night and finally watching The Help!) and planning this quickly approaching vacation with the boyfriend. 80 degree weather in a tropical destination has gotten me to thinking about all the clothing I haven’t worn in months that will have to be dug out of storage. Can’t wait!
